Photo Album: Cracks in Foundation Wall, Somersworth, NH

A homeowner in Somersworth, Massachusetts, had some cracks in their foundation that they are concerned about. One year ago the home had the main beam replaced, and since then they have seen cracks in the foundation. Our design specialist Brian looked around the basement and the main living area of the home and found noticeable cracks in the foundation and other indications in the main living space. Our specialist recommended adding support to the foundation walls and under the main beam.  Our production team installed PowerBraces on the foundation wall to strengthen the walls. The team installed PowerBraces every few feet around the entire perimeter of the basement. After the team finished installing the PowerBraces the team began prepping to install the SmartJacks. To prep for the new supports, the team chipped out concrete where each SmartJack will rest. Once the supports are connected to the main beam the team sets the footing of the SmartJack in concrete to lock them in place. Our team was able to address their foundation concerns and add stability to their foundation walls and the main beam of their home.
