Photo Album: Tripping Hazard from Concrete Pavers to Bridge, Melrose, MA
A building in Melrose, Massachusetts has an area of concrete pavers that transitions onto a concrete bridge. Over the past few years the place where both pieces of concrete meet have become a tripping hazard. The building and some of its board members want to have this tripping hazard removed. They have tried other repair options but none have worked. They found Erickson Foundation Solutions. A Design Specialist inspected the tripping hazard and recommended a permanent solution. The solution that the Design Specialist recommended was to use PolyLevel to lift up the concrete slab/ paver up to the level of the concrete bridge.
The PolyLevel Crew from EFS used slabjacks and PolyLevel to bring the concrete up to the same level as the bridge.

The tripping hazard had gotten so bad that the building had a threshold installed to help cover the tripping hazard.
Lift and Level Procedure
The crew uses jacks and metal beams in combination with PolyLevel to lift the concrete slabs up to the concrete bridge.
Tripping Hazard Removed
Once the slabs are level the crew fills the gap with concrete.
