Photo Album: Auxiliary Wall Installation, Groton, MA
A previous customer in Groton, Massachusetts had previously had an Auxiliary wall, SmartJacks, and a SaniDry installed into their basement. The home has a rock foundation with different types of rocks that include some pieces of granite. The homeowner would like to have another Auxiliary wall installed to support a large piece of granite that is overhanging part of the rock foundation. The piece of granite is being used as a support for the home. The homeowner decided to call EFS for a free inspection.
Design Specialist Kenny Calabrese inspected the basement. During his inspection, Kenny found that the piece of granite is overhanging the rock foundation by a significant amount. Kenny recommended installing an Auxiliary wall under where the granite is overhanging. This will add support to the granite while stopping some of the rock foundations from falling away.
Crew Lead Nick Carelli and his team installed an Auxiliary wall under the large piece of granite. This will support the granite for many years to come.
Granite is Unsupported
Rock Foundation is falling from beneath the granite leaving the granite unsupported.
