Photo Album: Foundation Wall is Failing, East Wakefield, NH
This homeowner in East Wakefield, New Hampshire has had concerns with their foundation wall since they moved into their home 10 years ago. After realizing that this home isn't their forever home, they decided that they would need to preserve the value of the home and make necessary repairs. One of the first repairs on the list was horizontal cracks in their foundation wall. They decided to call EFS for a free inspection.
Michael LaMalfa inspected the interior and exterior of the foundation. Michael found that the foundation wall is in stage 2 wall failure. The wall has long horizontal cracks and steps cracks, which are indicators that the wall is failing. Michael recommended installing Geolock Wall Anchors on the foundation wall.
Crew Lead Spencer Ladd and his team installed 4 Geolocks on the foundation wall in the basement to stabilize the wall. The 4 Geolcoks are evenly distributed over the length of the wall. A trench was dug 10ft outside of the foundation wall to install the other end of the Geolock anchors.
