This rental property owner has a property in Portsmouth, New Hampshire that required some attention. The owner had noticed a bow on her foundation wall as well as some waterproofing concerns. She decided to call EFS for a free inspection for homeowners.
Senior Design Specialist Michael LaMalfa inspected the rental property. During Michael's inspection, he found a long crack on the block foundation wall. Michael thinks that the crack in the wall is because of hydrostatic pressure. He had also found some moisture issues in the basement. Michael recommended installing PowerBraces, CleanSpace, Water Guard, Super Sumps, Freeze Guard, and Sani Dry.

Basement Wall Before EFS
The basement had a damp feel in it before EFS arrived.
Horizontal Cracks in the Block Foundation Wall
The block foundation wall has horizontal cracks because hydrostatic pressure pushes on the wall from outside.
Water Guard, Super Sump, and Sani Dry Installed
The crew installed Water Guard, Super Sump, and Sani Dry into the basement to help mitigate water and help dry out the basement.
CleanSpace and Water Guard Installed
The team installed Water Guard and CleanSpace to this wall.
PowerBraces Installed
The PowerBraces are installed to brace against the force of the hydrostatic pressure pushing the wall inward.
