This homeowner in Melrose, Massachusetts was concerned about the quality of the air in their home. They have heard of radon and the effects it can have on someone's health. They had their home tested for radon and the results came back around 5.6 pCi/L. The homeowners decided to call EFS for a free inspection.
Design Specialist John Prince inspected the home and talked to the homeowners about their concerns with radon. John designed a radon mitigation system for the home.

Between those two white PVC pipes is where the radon mitigation system will be installed.

The radon pipe will be installed behind the door and next to the furnace.
Radon Pipe Installed
The radon pipe is installed next to the furnace to draw up radon-filled air and push it outside of the home.
Radon Fan Installed
The radon fan is installed between the two white PVC pipes.
Cracks on Slab
Any cracks on the slab are sealed so radon can seep through the cracks.
