Gary F. of Belmont, Massachusetts was experiencing the back of his home start to sink. In the past 20 years, he had installed a two-story addition to the back of the home with a patio installed as well. Gary decided to call Erickson Foundation Solutions for a free inspection.
Design Specialist John Merna arrived at the home and inspected the back of the home and the basement. After his inspection, John concluded that the back of the home would need to be lifted. John can't use a typical solution like the Push Piers or Helical Piers because of the rock ledge surrounding the home. John has to think outside the box for a solution for this home. John finally thought of a solution that will help stabilize Gary's home. John proposed that EFS pour a new auxiliary wall for the back of the home.
Crew Lead Scott Crandall and his team of Installation Specialists came out to the home to stabilize the home. Scott and his crew carefully lifted the tiles from Gary's back patio to reach where they're going to install the auxiliary wall. The crew installed the new auxiliary wall under the back of the home.

The back of Gary's home is sinking.
Patio Removed
The crew removes the patio to expose the foundation wall of the extension that was installed 20 years ago.
Rebar Installed
Rebar is installed to help with the concrete after it is poured.
Forms are Set
The forms for the auxiliary wall are installed and the team begins mixing concrete.
The New Auxiliary Wall
The new auxiliary wall is set and the forms are removed and then the crew will reinstall the patio for Gary.
