Robert C. of Lawrence, Massachusetts was experiencing a multitude of things going on in his basement. He was experiencing a pest problem, a sagging floor issue, and a foundation issue. Robert decided to call Erickson Foundation Solutions about solving some of these issues.
Design Specialist Michael Bradley came to the home to address the sagging floor issue and the foundation issue. He inspected the basement and proposed that the basement would need new bulkhead stairs, an auxiliary wall, and Smart Jacks to stop the floors from sagging. Robert decided to only go further with repairing the bulkhead stairs and the auxiliary wall.
Crew Lead Jon Provost and his team came to the home and installed the new bulkhead stairs and an auxiliary wall in the basement.
Bulkhead Stair
The bulkhead stairs were dirty and were sinking at the bottom causing each plank to be not level.
Removed Stairs
The team removed the stairs and created a dirt landing that wouldn't allow the stairs to be uneven anymore.
Put Stairs on Flat Dirt Landing
The stairs were installed back where the old ones were but on a solid dirt landing.
Auxiliary Wall
An auxiliary wall is being installed on the fieldstone foundation.
Forms Put In Place
The forms are secured so the team can pour the concrete for the auxiliary wall.
Finished Auxiliary Wall
After the concrete had dried the team removed the forms and chipped away any excess concrete.
