Michael B. of Northfield, New Hampshire had concerns about radon in their basement. They called Erickson Foundation Solutions to see if they could come to perform a radon test in their basement. After a 48-hour CRM test, the result came back at 31 pCi/L. 31 pCi/L is a high number for radon.
Design Specialist Jason Vachon came to the home after the CRM test and proposed that Michael have a radon mitigation system installed with two extraction points to pull radon-filled air out from beneath the home.
Crew Lead Branden Edwards and his team came to the home and installed the radon mitigation system with two extractions points into the basement.
Before Exterior of Home, Northfield, NH
This is what the home looked like before the radon fan was installed.
1st Extraction Point
This is the first extraction point. Radon-filled air will travel through this pipe and be pulled out toward the radon fan and out into the open air.
2nd Extraction Point
This is the second extraction point. The same process will happen with this extraction point.
Radon Fan
This is where the radon fan is located. The radon fan will draw up all of the radon-filled air and pull it up the pipe and guide it out into the open air.
