The owner of this home in Dover, NH tested for radon and received results of 8 pci/l, which is above the recommended levels set by the EPA. After receiving a free inspection and estimate from Erickson Foundation Solutions, they chose Erickson as their radon mitigation contractor and scheduled the project. They wanted to lower their radon levels and feel safe in their home.
The home was built in 1901, and the foundation walls were very thick fieldstone and mortar. The sill plate above these was also thick lumber. The mitigation system was installed by Branden Edwards in a single day, and he also took the time to clean out one of the homeowners gutters while he was up on the ladder securing the radon vent pipe to the home.
