Photo Album: Foundation Repair, Woburn, MA

This homeowner in Woburn, Massachusetts had an issue where his attached garage had sunk about 7 inches. The garage has two bedrooms above and is about 18'x26'. As a result of the sinking, cracks are forming on the foundation and some of the walls. The homeowners decided to call Erickson Foundation Supports to have them come out and inspect the cause of the sinking. John Prince was the Design Specialist on this project. John went to the homeowner's home and was able to suggest a solution to their sinking garage. He suggested that the garage would need some push piers to secure and lift the house back into normal position. Jon Provost was the Crew Lead on this project. He and his team were able to install push piers under the floor of the garage. The piers lifted the garage back to its original height. The homeowners were very happy with the results of this project.

Measuring out where each push pier will go

Each of the orange dots of spray paint indicates where each pier will go. These are carefully measured out so the piers can work like they are designed.

Concrete Lifted Now Start Digging

The Concrete was cut and taken out. Now the crew has to dig to expose the footing of the foundation to attach the pier to it.

Footing Exposed Now Attach the Pier

Now that the footing is exposed the crew can start attaching the pier to then start pushing the rods down into the ground. After the rods are in and pressurized enough then the crew will secure them in and backfill the dirt they took out and repour concrete to conceal the piers.

Holes Filled and Concrete Poured

All the holes were backfilled and the concrete was poured. * In this picture the concrete is still wet. The concrete will match the old concrete after it is fully dried.*
