A homeowner in Tewksbury, Massachusetts, had bought a home, and the previous homeowners had the floors repaired. After 3 years, the repair the previous homeowners had installed did not last. A builder in Tewksbury, Massachusetts, had contacted EFS about installing new construction Helical Piers under a foundation they were pouring in a flood zone. Matt Erickson JR. designed a plan to install the Helical Piers to the new foundation when it is poured. Matt recommended installing 9 Helical Piers under the footprint of the foundation and 11 EZ Post beneath the back porch and front steps that aren't built yet. Our team used a hydraulic drive head to drive the Helical Piers and EZ Posts into the dirt until they reached sufficient pressure.
This homeowner in Tewksbury, Massachusetts, works from home in their basement every day and has become concerned with the radon levels inside the home. A homeowner in Tewksbury, Massachusetts had been dealing with a wet basement. It was very important to protect the space since it was used for storage and utilities. Looking to waterproof the basement, this homeowner reached out to Erickson Foundation Solutions.
After inspection, our Design Specialist recommended installing CleanSpace vapor barrier and WaterGuard perimeter drainage. This system is designed to encapsulate the wall to block moisture and direct it to the perimeter drainage system. The perimeter drainage system leads to a sump pump that disposes water out of the home. This homeowner already had a sump pump, but with the foundation being surrounded by so much wet soil, this system prevents all the additional water from leaking through the basement walls. Other benefits of this system include insulation, preventing drafts, and creating a more comfortable living space.
Once our installation crew finished the job, they provided a final walkthrough with the homeowner to answer any questions and ensure satisfaction. This homeowner was thrilled that he now had a safe and waterproofed basement!
